As a senior photographer based in Nampa, I’ve captured some of my favorite sessions during this summer month — when the flower fields are blooming and your schedule is finally free from school. In this post, I’m showcasing some of my favorite July sessions and sharing the reasons this month can be a dream to do your senior sessions in!
July Brings the Golden Magic
Some of the most aesthetic, golden-light, nature-filled sessions I’ve ever photographed happen in July.
Here’s why:
- Longer days = later start times and golden evening light
- Summer break = no juggling school, practice, or finals
- Lavender & flower fields = yes, please
- Wardrobe freedom = breezy outfits, no bulky layers, can you say summer sundress of dreams?!
What to Keep in Mind
Before you book, here are a few quick things to prep for:
- It gets HOT: Bring water + blotting powder if needed, if needed morning sessions are available
- Bugs love flower fields too: A quick spritz of bug spray goes a long way
- Sunburns are real: Protect your skin before your session so your glow is all natural, not lobster-red (haha!) plus I cannot guarantee that I’ll be able to edit out your tan lines as they can be very difficult and time intensive to edit out.
